Join Father John and your fellow Office of Radio & Television supporters and WJMJ listeners for an early fall 11 day/9 night tour of the beautiful island of Sicily from October 6-16, 2014

This fully escorted tour begins in the capital of Sicily, Palermo.  See the Palatine Chapel, Norman Palace, Duomo and a typical Sicilian fruit market.  There's also a stop in Monreale to visit the Cathedral and its mosaics, and the Duomo of Cefalu.

From Palermo, journey to the beautiful, medieval mountain-top town of Erice and visit the Marsala wine region with a possible tasting.

In Agrigento explore the Greek and Roman ruins in the Valley of the Temples.  Travel to the "City of Mosaics" Piazza Armerina and the Villa of Armerina with 12,000 sq. feet of mosaics.

Visit Savoca, a beautiful Sicilian village where portions of "The Godfather" were filmed, and Taormina with it breathtaking views of Mt. Etna and its ancient ruins including the Roman Theatre.  Speaking of Mt. Etna, there an excursion to Sicily's tallest peak and Europe's tallest active volcano... yes ACTIVE!

Travel to Messina and discover its cache of Caravaggio canvases and Reggio Calabria and its famous Bonzes of Riace.

From Taormina travel south to Siracusa and visit the old town Ortigia and the Archaeological Park of the Neapolis where a Roman amphitheater, a Greek theatre and the Ear of Dionysius are located.

Also visit Noto and Ragusa, whom together with six other cities in the Val di Noto, are listed among UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Whether this is your first trip to Sicily or you've been before, there's nothing like a tour hosted by Father John.  We also have the BEST tour directors and guides.  So please join Father John and together, we will laugh and pray, share the joy and heritage of our faith, meet new friends, walk in the paths of the saints and sample the food and wines of Sicily that have been influenced by the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans and many others.

Amuninni!

(That's let's go in Sicilian dialect.)
