Programming Schedule

The Office of Radio & Television of the Archdiocese of Hartford is pleased to announce On This Rock – MVP™ (Music Video Playback), a new television program produced by Counterpoint Communications, Inc. as a service to the Office of Radio & Television, Archdiocese of Hartford.  On This Rock - MVP™ is geared specifically to the young teen audience and premiered Saturday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m. on WTXX Connecticut’s WB-20.  It will air each Saturday morning at 10:30.

The program features today’s hottest music videos, including rap, hip-hop, emo, and rock. Connecticut teens discuss and debate the meaning, and determine the values that are being promoted or negated in the message of contemporary music

As it was for your parents, and their grandparents before them, music is very important to you, our young people. Teen encourage your parents to watch this program with you, to explore this very powerful communications tool.  Don’t turn down the sound – pump it up, and listen… and talk!

In a recent message the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II wrote; “it is necessary to create television products which take into account the sensitivity and the education requirements of young people.”  We hope to carry out the Holy Father's message with On This Rock - MVP™.

The program is hosted by Fr. John Gatzak, Executive Director of the Office of Radio & Television.  He said, “I hope that On This Rock – MVP will aid teens to be thoughtful, and to live deliberately, so they can make better choices in their lives.”
